2020 BMW 3 Series Features and Release Date
The 2020 BMW 3 Series delivers outstanding performance and comfort in a tastefully understated package. BMW has announced that the compact 3 Series is getting a handful of significant updates. The 3 Series Sedan represent BMW’s best-selling model line. One that will challenge even the brand’s most fervent fans to spot the visual differences.
2020 BMW 3 Series Exterior and Interior Design
The other changes for 2020 are relatively minor. Exterior design is defined by the classic proportions of a sports sedan. The hood is lower at the nose, but rises higher than the previous model thanks to pedestrian safety regulations. Standard features for the 2020 BMW 3 Series include 17 inch alloy wheels with run flat tires. BMW gave the 3 Series a few styling tweaks for 2020. Headlights and taillights have been redesigned with even more distinctive signatures when illuminated. The available LED headlights are an increasingly common feature that BMW did well to add. Front and rear fascias were also reshaped. Fundamentally, though, this is the same 3 Series we’ve known and loved since 2012, and the competition is still scrambling to keep up.
On the inside, the 2020 BMW 3 Series also features a dynamic, elegant, sporty interior, yet more premium feel by rearranging the chrome highlights. The center console now comes in high-gloss black and with new ambient lighting and added chrome inserts. Modifications also include newly designed control for the electric seat adjustment, chrome accents for the air vents, a sliding cover for the cup holders and a new storage area for small items. Also, the highlight trim finisher in the instrument panel has been expanded into all four doors.
2020 BMW 3 Series Engine Specs and Performance
The BMW 3 Series has symbolised driving enjoyment combined with frugal fuel consumption for the past 40 years. Now the new BMW 3 Series are raising the bar yet again. One of the most important modifications is the addition of a brand new turbocharged all aluminum 3.0 liter straight six engine called B58 internally. The six cylinder produces 320 horsepower between 5,500 and 6,500 rpm and 330 foot pounds of torque starting at just 1,380 rpm. Certain automatic-equipped 3 Series cars have a “sport” version of this transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters. Both the manual and the automatic come with an automatic stop start function that turns off the engine in order to save fuel when 2020 BMW 3 Series stops.
